Client: Harrisburg, PA - Capitol Welcome Center

Visitors to Pennsylvania's Capitol Welcome Center learn about government -- and have fun in the process -- by reading, listening, touching and interacting with informative exhibits.

Challenge: The Welcome Center in the Harrisburg Capitol was a collection of overlooked and outdated exhibits. The goal was to create an experience that is engaging for visitors of all ages, but especially elementary school students, as it is a popular field trip destination for local schools.

Strategy: Re-imagine an experience that creates a journey that guides the visitor through the main highlights of daily life at the Capitol.

Results: Opening day was a flurry of activity with kids and adults exploring the new informative exhibits. Visitors were thrilled with how entertaining and educational the experience was. Since its opening, the new Welcome Center has seen a significantly higher volume in daily attendance than previously.
